Are there any dolls you DON'T like?

Not fond of any of the dolls without bangs or those with an off-center part. Not particularly fond of blonde dolls or those with textured hair.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I didn't like Elizabeth or her dress when I first saw it on the website. My DD wanted her for her birthday in March to be a friend to our beloved Felicity. Elizabeth has grown on me. I now think her dress is pretty. I like it paired with the cream accents. It has sort of a orangish tint in the fabric.

Here's why I like them (IMO):

Lindsey: I love her freckles
Molly: Her glasses are just charming
Kaya: She has THE best face mold IMO

And here's why I love all of the other AG dolls, except for Elizabeth?:

Josefina: She has such a cute little mouth!!!
Felicity: Her hair (Despite the brown tone to it), and her purple meet outfit (awhile ago I would have said this was her worst feature, but I just needed to get used to it)
Kirsten: Her grey eyes are too hard to resist!
Addy: She is great in every colour I see her in.
Samantha: Her meet dress!!!!!
Kit: That doll seems to have a lot of style and flair

BF dolls:

Nellie: Her hair is just the perfect length/ colour

I confess. I don't like Elizabeth......
I strongly dislike the ugly Barbie pink dress she has as a meet outfit and blond/ blue eyes- give me a break! On top of all of that she has Joesfinas? face mold....just like Nellie. I wouldn?t mind it on Josefina and Nellie, but 3 dolls with THIS mold is WAY to much!!!!
I just don't like Elizabeth AT ALL.</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">it's not that I hate them, I just like them a little less than the other ones. Our first doll was Samantha, so I always thought Molly looked too much like Sam with the brunette hair. I like the combination of brown eyes with brown hair better than Molly's gray eyes.

Kaya doesn't look happy to me, but I like her collection.

Lindsey - I never liked her hair. I think her face is cute. We got #23 with the freckles which I do think are adorable.

Her meet outfit is beautiful! Both my mother and I agree that it is the best one! (In out opinion) Plus we think Elizabeth is the prettiest doll. Though, that may be that we are BOTH blondes...... [img]wink.gif[/img]

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I don't even remember which book it was, but the one where Emily is at her house and Molly and her friends want to play bomb shelter--at 8-9 that REALLY irked me! I know it's silly, but I haven't re-read her books since and that memory has ALWAYS stuck with me. I think I have a bit of a childhood grudge against her. *coughs* Although I did LOVE Molly Saves the Day! <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">And to me, that seems like one of the most normal things a child would do in that situation. People I know that have children or siblings of the under 10 crowd in 2001 have all seen the kids "playing" 9/11. Heck, when I was three and my father was electrocuted, my best friend and I had our My Little Ponies get electrocuted!

It's not warped or sick, it's how children deal with upsetting events, how they can process and deal with them on their own level. I first started writing as a child for that reason, because sometimes what you can't face in real life, you face better in fiction. I credit writing with getting me through some of the hardest times of my life. Believe in the power of "pretend."

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Absolutely not! Elizabeth is beautiful. We all have our personal favorites. My best childhood girlfriend was a very light haired blond with long, straight hair and light blue eyes. I always thought she was so pretty. I have very dark hair and so does the rest of my family, so the blond seemed very unique to me. She was such a sweet girl that I always have remained fond of light blond haired, blue eyed girls. What most people initially didn't like about Elizabeth is that she was not described as a blond in the books.

Well, I want/wanted all the historicals, and now I'm just two dolls off! I always thought Samantha would be my last, because I wasn't too fond of her collection and resented that she got all the new items. Then I got her for Christmas this year, and I am absolutely in love with this raven haired beauty!

I haven't heard anyone else say this yet, but out of the named dolls, my least favorite would be Jess. She's actually my least favorite of the LEs. I love the idea of her being inter-racial, but her face just dosen't look right to me. It's unique, and I will probably end up picking her up to resell in a few years if nothing else, but her face mold reminds me of a chipmunk, to be perfecly honest.

This has been a very interesting topic. I was surprised to see the top 3 "disliked" dolls seem to be Molly, Kirsten and Kaya!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Have you seen her in person? I really don't think that she looks any more chipmunk cheeked than the other girls with the buck toothed grin, in person. It does look quite a bit more obvious in pictures, though. If anything, she just looks a bit more buck-toothed, as her mouth is a bit smaller.

I wasn't overly fond of her right away. I thought she was cute, but I was hoping for a full Asian who would look, well, more Asian. However, I was going to get her anyway, as I've been waiting for an Asian doll since I was 11, (I don't like the AGT), and this is probably as close as we'll get for a few years. I was pleasantly surprised by how cute she is when she arrived.

I bet you'll buy her for resale, but love her when she gets to you, [img]wink.gif[/img] . And if not, you'll be able to make a nice profit in a few years [img]smile.gif[/img] . Good either way.
